Omer Shem Tov, kidnapped from the Nova Festival, spent 50 days in a 40-meter-deep pit in Gaza, enduring darkness and isolation. Later moved to a bunker, he adapted by cooking and learning Arabic, despite abuse from Hamas terrorists. His unexpected release, after a failed escape attempt, was broadcast worldwide, surprising his captors with his fluent Arabic farewell. Omer was held hostage from October 7, 2023 – February 22, 2025, for a total of 505 days.
